no sebaciel. the dynamic between sebastian and ciel is incredibly interesting, dark, and twisted, but i will never ship them romantically or sexually (especially since ciel is 12-13). i would ask that if you do ship sebaciel in either of those lights that you block me. also, if you sexualise ciel in any sort of way, please block me.

no twins. the ciel i write does not have a twin brother. i found the twin plot lazy, ciel is the only child of rachel and vincent phantomhive and is the rightful earl after his father's death. if he has any self-doubts about his role, it's due to him being shy and sickly as a child.

manga only. i watched a part of the season one anime when it first came out. i probably watched an episode or two of the season two anime when it came out. however, i don't remember it aside from the fact that i didn't enjoy it and i don't plan on rewatching it any time soon. as such, my characterisation of ciel is based solely on the manga.

extremely dark content. kuroshitsuji is an incredibly dark story where the main character was raped and tortured for a month at the age of ten. i am in no way condoning any of the content found in the manga, nor will i ever write out that month explicitly. however, i may make allusions to what happened to ciel in threads and analysis. again, to reiterate, i will never write it out explicitly. however, if even allusions to this content is triggering to you, please do whatever you need to do to make yourself feel comfortable. these allusions will, of course, be tagged.

OTHER he can technically see out of the eye that has the covenant etched on it, but due to having to hide it under his eye-patch, he struggled at first with his depth perception. sometimes, he still does, especially when he's moving around thoughtlessly. when he's determined to move around or aim perfectly, however, he will.he also has a brand on his back from his time tortured by the cult. he hates the idea of anyone seeing it.
ciel cares deeply for those he believe to be "his" and is incredibly protective of them. however, ciel struggles with sharing any sort of positive demonstrations, especially physical in nature. he also does not want others to grow too close to him, in part to protect them from his inevitable death at the hands of sebastian.however, while he won't go out of his way to kill innocent strangers, he's not as protective over them either. he'll willingly sacrifice any stranger if necessary to do the queen's bidding or to further his own goals, even if he feels guilty about it later. that being said, he hates when children are involved in schemes. he is also merciless to his enemies and will have them slaughtered without any hesitation.ciel is insanely competitive and incredibly proud, sometimes to the point of arrogance. he finds menial tasks beneath him. however, he knows that he is not a "good" person, and feels rage and shame over what has been done to him. sometimes, that comes across as him thinking he doesn't deserve happiness.he is a chess master with keen intuition. even traumatised at ten, he is able to see and navigate past sebastian's deceptions while the two of them were building their contract. he is also incredibly cynical and pragmatic, perhaps to an outrageous degree. he is a shrewd businessman.ciel suffers from ptsd due to his month with the cult and coming across the bodies of his dead parents. he has flashbacks and sometimes thinks that he is still there.
